Graduate Teaching Assistant
University of Kansas, Department of Geography and Atmospheric Science
2026 – Present
- Act as lab instructor for ATMO 105: Introductory Meteorology and ATMO 106: Honors Introductory Meteorology.
- Oversee all labs and lab lectures in my sections, grade all lab assignments, and provide accomodations when needed.
- Prepare all material required for lab and hold office hours.
Atmospheric Modeling Summer Intern
Amentum, contracted by National Aeronautics and Space Administration EV44: Terrestrial and Planetary Environments (TAPE) Team
2026– 2026
- Developed improvements to the boundary layer scheme of the Earth-GRAM (Global Reference Atmospheric Model) suite using Python. Added several new products to GRAM including corrected U-component and V-component winds (corrected within the PBL), moisture products such as potential and virtual potential temperature, and a corrected boundary layer height. Diurnal oscillation of the PBL was captured and boundary layer horizontal wind profiles were significantly improved. This project and its findings will be presented at the 2027 ARAM poster session at AMS.
- Perform data analysis of Earth-GRAM outputs and duodecaplet data.
- Provide timely updates to TAPE and present findings regularly to NASA customer and Amentum supervisor(s)
Outreach Coordinator
UAH Chapter of the American Meteorological Society
2025 – 2026
- Involved with club-wide communication, particularly regarding events and student involvement. Notify club of meetings, as well as coordinating with outside speakers and other entities who wished to become involved with AMS. Attend all meetings and provide any necessary announcements.
- Act as Co-Chair for Rocket City Weather Fest, and help the AMS Chapter Vice President (the main Chair) in any necessary duties.
AES Department Ambassador
UAH Atmospheric and Earth Science Department
2023 – 2026
- Acted as the face of the department and was heavily involved with event coordination. Provided tours of the SWIRLL and NSSTC facilities to prospective students and others interested in the department.
- Heavily involved in public school STEM events to promote the department and its research to potential future students.
